• Summer Ventures in Science and Mathematics is a cost-free, state-funded program for academically talented students who may pursue careers based in science and mathematics. The program brings rising juniors and seniors together in residential settings for four weeks of intensive study during the summer. Applications are due by January 31, 2012.
• The Lenoir-Rhyne High School Scholars Academy is a one-year program designed for high school students who seek an alternative opportunity for a full-time on campus experience. Students in their senior year of high school are allowed to take all their classes at Lenoir- Rhyne. The tuition for the program will be $1200 per semester plus the cost of books and any applicable course fees. This fee is paid by the student. This is a competitive program with admission contingent upon the final junior year high school transcript. Deadline for applications is February 21, 2012.
• The North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics is a residential high school in Durham, North Carolina with a specialized curriculum in science and math. Applicants must currently be in the 10th grade and their parents must be permanent residents of North Carolina by December 1 of the applicant’s 10th grade year. The electronic application is available online in mid October and the deadline is January 15, 2012.
